Drone attack on Saudi Arabia oil facilities

Drone attacks on the world’s largest oil processing facility in Saudi Arabia on September 13 has impacted half of the country’s oil production. Production operations at Abqaiq oil processing facility and the Khurais oil fields have been temporarily suspended. A United Nations team is investigating the incident. However, Saudi Arabia, which is the world’s largest exporter of oil says it has evidence proving that Iran was behind the drone and missile attack on the two facilities. The country has now called on the international community to take action.

Children, we hope you know that Iran has been in a financial crisis since last year when US President Donald Trump put back economic sanctions on Iran’s oil trade. Now Iran’s oil exports are close to zero and life has become very tough for Iranians. Many believe that the attack will convince America to lift up the sanctions. However, some experts believe that this situation could eventually lead to a war between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
